Division One League club Steadfast FC to receive over $109K for 2022 World Cup player contribution

Following the involvement of Fatawu Issahaku at the 2022 World Cup, Steadfast FC are entitled to a windfall of $109,504.72 from FIFA.

In all, five Ghanaian clubs will benefit from this initiative namely, Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Steadfast FC, King Faisal, and Dreams FC.

The aforementioned clubs will share among themselves a total amount of f $565,772.42 following the participation of their players at the mundial.

Hearts of Oak is the highest earner, followed by Asante Kotoko, Dreams FC, King Faisal and Steadfast FC.

The money allocated to the clubs covers the entire period of the qualifiers and where the players have played all that time.

During the World Cup, Issahaku was on loan at Dreams FC but was a Steadfast player, however, both teams will benefit from the FIFA windfall.

The Division One League club is entitled to a whooping amount of $109,504.72 following Issahaku’s contribution at the World Cup with the Black Stars.

The funds will be initially sent to the Ghana Football Association, which will then distribute the money to the respective beneficiary clubs

The financial rewards allocated to the Ghanaian clubs and other African teams aim to recognise the contributions made by domestic league players to their respective national teams’ World Cup campaigns.
