EXCLUSIVE: Souaibou Marou faces bleak Orlando Pirates future
Orlando Pirates striker Souaibou Marou is facing a bleak future at the club after what has been a disappointing stint despite huge expectations.

Marou arrived at Mayfair in January from Cameroon giants Coton Sport, but he has often been reduced to a spectator since then.
According to a source known to this publication, Marou hasn’t been playing because of language barrier, and efforts have been made for him to learn English.

However, the source claims that the technical team’s impatience is the reason Marou could be let go either on loan or permanently at the end of the season.
As things stand, Pirates are relying on attackers such as Monnapule Saleng and Thembinkosi Lorch while Kermit Erasmus has been chipping in here and there.

Marou has managed just four appearances for Pirates since arrival without finding the back of the net, and the exit door appears to be looming for him.

“Marou faces an uncertain future. Just don’t be surprised if he is released come the end of the season, either or on loan or permanently,” he source told The South African website.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates are expected to be one of the busiest PSL sides in the upcoming domestic transfer officially opens on July.

The Buccaneers have already been linked with a number of high-profile players, and the new report is that they are targeting AmaZulu’s speedy wingback Riaan Hanamub.
Hanamub has been in top form over the past two seasons, first for Chippa United and later AmaZulu where has been a regular.

According to Unplayable, Pirates will look to add him to the roster ahead of next season to try and strengthen their left-hand side.
As things stand, Pirates are using both Paseka Mako and Deon Hotto as their left wingbacks, while Innocent Maela was shifted to a more central role.
