Fast 10 BTS Photo Gives Best Look Yet At Daniela Melchior’s New Character
The behind-the-scenes looks at Fast 10 continue to pour out as The Suicide Squad’s Daniela Melchior shares the best look yet at her new character.
Melchior rose to stardom with her English-language debut in James Gunn’s DC Extended Universe movie as Ratcatcher 2, one of the members of Task Force X.
The 25-year-old Portuguese actress received rave reviews for her performance in The Suicide Squad, with many praising her as the emotional core for the blood-soaked superhero film.
Melchior is one of multiple new stars joining the Fast and Furious franchise with Fast 10 alongside Jason Momoa as the film’s villain, Brie Larson and Alan Ritchson in undisclosed roles and Rita Moreno as the Dominic, Jakob and Mia’s grandmother.
Vin Diesel is once again leading the cast of Fast 10 alongside fellow vets Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Charlize Theron and Michael Rooker. After an initial hiccup in development with Justin Lin quitting over creative differences, Fast 10 is back on track with The Incredible Hulk’s Louis Leterrier at the helm.
As production continues on the film, Daniela Melchior took to Instagram to share a new BTS photo from Fast 10. The image offers the best look at the Suicide Squad star’s new character, including a variety of faux tattoos on her arms and back. Check out the BTS image below:

Though the new Fast 10 BTS photo may not offer clear insight into how Daniela Melchior’s new character factors in to the story, it does offer a few subtle clues.
The biggest hint is that of the tattoo on her left hand of a rosary wrapped halfway up her arm, a potential hint of her ties to Dom given the importance his silver cross necklace has played in recent Fast and Furious films, including being featured prominently in posters and trailers for last year’s F9: The Fast Saga.
With Fast 10 further expanding the Toretto family with the addition of Rita Moreno’s grandmother character, it seems possible Melchior could play another extended family member to Diesel’s Dom and Brewster’s Mia.
Despite the mixed reception to the most recent film, audience anticipation remains generally high for Fast 10 given the large roster of new stars joining the action franchise.
All eyes are primarily focused on Momoa’s undisclosed villain, with the Aquaman star confirming he’ll share scenes with both Theron’s Cipher and Diesel’s Dom as well as teasing his villain to be a flamboyant character, something the Fast and Furious franchise has not really seen from its antagonists.
Audiences will have to keep their eyes peeled for more insight for Melchior and Momoa’s new characters as production on Fast 10 continues leading up to its May 19, 2023 release.
