Kaizer Chiefs flop sends special message to Dr Kaizer Motaung

Phathutshedzo Nange was expected to be a star at Kaizer Chiefs however his stay was massively underwhelming.

However the weight of the mighty Amakhosi jersey proved to be too heavy for the midfielder.

Nange was released by the club after making just a handful of appearances last season. He has since re-united with Gavin Hunt at SuperSport United following his Amakhosi exit.

“I wouldn’t say I’m happy with my stay at Chiefs if I didn’t win anything.” Phathutshedzo Nange told KickOff.

“I wanted to win something with Kaizer Chiefs, but nevertheless it’s gone and I am the one to blame. I’d rather point at myself than to look for someone to blame, I am the one to blame.

“But I have to look forward and hope to do good in my new team. But I really appreciate everything that happened that side, I enjoyed everything.

“Thanks to the chairman [Dr Kaizer Motaung], Kaizer Chiefs management, team doctors, technical staff, players, guys who cut the grass and those who prepared food for us.”

Kgaogelo Sekgota has been linked with an exit from Kaizer Chiefs ahead of next season.

The speedy winger is reportedly drawing interest from Stellenbosch FC as well as from Belgium!

Sekgota has one year left on his contract at the Glamour after joining them in 2021 from Swallows.

The latest reports suggest Stellies will next table an offer for the 26-year-old Bafana Bafana international.

Amakhosi winger wanted locally and abroad?

“Stellenbosch FC have approached Kaizer Chiefs over the services of winger Kgaogelo Sekgota, who has a year left on his contract.” a SABC SPORT report read.

“But they will have stiff competition to try get a deal over the line with news that the player has also attracted interest from Belgium.

“Stellenbosch’s pursuit of Sekgota depends on whether they are willing to meet Kaizer Chiefs’ valuation for Sekgota as well as the player’s personal terms.

“It is likely allowing him to go abroad is more favourable, and should any potential move fall flat then Amakhosi risk losing the player as a free agent a year from now unless they table a contract extension.”
