Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow Walker reveals she wants to build a school to serve underprivileged children
Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow Walker was more concerned with helping those in need as she worked to fundraise for children in need across the globe.
Meadow shared multiple photos of smiling children inside and outside of a rural school.
‘Today, I am launching a campaign with @pencilsofpromise to build a school. This is the season of giving and my biggest wish is to provide a space for these children to learn,’ she captioned the images.
A link to Meadow’s fundraising page revealed she’d already raised over $11,000 of the required $50,000.
The organization advertises that 100 percent of all donations goes directly to children, rather than to the organization itself.
Its website states that it has built 518 schools throughout Ghana, Guatemala and Laos, which serve nearly 108,000 students
Meadow has remained committed to charity work since her father’s death, and under her leadership The Paul Walker Foundation has focused on funding marine science education and promoting the safety and well-being of the planet’s oceans.
Meadow is the daughter of Paul and his one-time girlfriend Rebecca Soteros.
She spent much of her life with her mother in Hawaii before joining her father in California in 2011.
The actor, best known for performances in the horror–thriller Joy Ride and the Fast & Furious series, was killed in a fiery wreck on November 30, 2013, after he crashed his Porsche Carrera GT into a metal pole.
The crash was attributed to older tires and his high speeds — between 80 and 93 miles per hour, according to CNN.
Paul was killed before he had completed his work on Furious 7, though the filmmakers were able to use his brothers Caleb and Cody Walker as stand-ins augmented with CGI to complete the part.
Last month, entertainment reporter Daniel Richtman tweeted that he had ‘big news’ about a casting grid, though he wasn’t sure how he felt about it.
Later in November he shared another tweet claiming that Paul Walker’s character Brian O’Conner would return in the upcoming Fast & Furious 10.
So far, Universal has not commented on the rumors.
Before production wrapped on the film, rumors spread that the movie might feature flashbacks to the early days Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), so it’s possible that a younger version of Paul’s character might be featured.
