Thomas Partey sends goodbye message to midfield partner Granit Xhaka
Ghana’s Thomas Partey has sent a heartfelt goodbye message to his midfield partner Granit Xhaka who has moved to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
Xhaka endured a rocky relationship with the Arsenal supporters throughout his seven years at the Emirates Stadium. However, he excelled in his final season in north London playing with Thomas Partey of the Black Stars.
Partey took to his official Instagram page to reacted to Granit Xhaka’s departure.
The midfield duo powered Arsenal to second place (84 points after 38 games) in the league.
Xhaka made 37 appearances, scored seven goals, and assisted seven while Thomas Partey made 33 appearances and scored three goals in the 2022/23 Premier League.
“I am going to miss seeing you around brother (heart emoji) (heart emoji)”, the Ghana international wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of the pair.
