Blom bossing it for St Louis City SC

Njabulo Blom has become an important component of Bradley Carnell’s team, breaking up play and then springing his own team’s attacks with efficiency and crispness. There’s a huge level of confidence in his game, both on the ball and off it. Blom has made 15 MLS appearances this term, with 45% of those in the starting XI.

However, he has started each of their last FIVE outings, evidence of how he’s slowly becoming indispensable at the base of midfield. St Louis are currently sitting pretty atop the Western Conference table, two points ahead of LAFC. Next up is a clash with Inter Miami on July 16th, so Lionel Messi could even be in the stands.

Kaizer Chiefs legend Mathoho training with new PSL club

Speaking of departed Amakhosi fan favourites, Erick Mathoho is reportedly training with SuperSport.

Now according to iDiski Times Mathoho could be the next one to find a club, with a publication reporting that he is currently training with SuperSport United

“This publication can confirm that ‘Tower’ is training with SuperSport United and hopes to join the Tshwane giants. With Matsatsantsa participating in the CAF-interclub competition this season, Mathoho could add more experience as he has been to the CAF Champions League final with Amakhosi. He previously worked with Hunt at Chiefs, and according to a well-placed source he was part of the Matsatsantsa team that faced Pretoria Callies in pre-season match that took place on Wednesday.” Wrote the publication.
