“We took apart this franchise’s engine, piece by piece and found out exactly what makes it run: heart and stunts… lots and lots of stunts!” Volk-Weiss also stated.

The Simpsons Are Explored in the Current Season

For now, fans of the Icons Unearthed docuseries can explore the history of The Simpsons with the second season of the show. The Simpsons is another franchise rich with history with 36 years to draw back upon. The season premiered on Vice TV on Oct. 5.

“The entire purpose of Icons Unearthed is to find the deep stories behind the creation of the most popular and iconic shows and movies. With The Simpsons, we had 36 years of groundbreaking history to dive into,” Volk-Weiss told MovieWeb about the series.
