Vin Diesel reveals Marvel wants to make a solo Groot Planet X movie

The Marvel Cinematic Universe may soon see a solo Groot movie. According to Guardians of the Galaxy star Vin Diesel, Marvel wants a Planet X film which could solely focus on Groot.

Vin Diesel has been one actor who has never been visible, though his association with MCU is almost a decade long. he began lending his voice to Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, making him one of the franchise’s main cast members. The Fast & Furious star has gone on to voice the tree-like alien in five MCU movies, as well as the recent I Am Groot Disney+ shorts.

While Vin Diesel only plays a small part in the MCU, he is never shy about revealing details about Groot. Now, Vin Diesel has taken to social media to share the new details about Groot as well.

Sharing an image of the popular MCU character, he wrote, “So my niece called me and said… thank you uncle Vin for making I Am Groot, haha… the shorts written and directed by the talented Kristin Lepore.

It was a blast making, but it’s also a blast watching it with my angels. No wonder Marvel wants to make the Planet X movie. All love.”

Earlier, it was Diesel who had announced the Guardians of the Galaxy’s appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder and also said that audiences will meet Alpha Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, even though director James Gunn has denied that claim.

Meanwhile, Marvel Studios recently unveiled their plans for the next three years, with two new Avengers movies being announced in the pipeline. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars will both make their way into theaters in 2025.

Marvel head Kevin Fiege has also teased about how new post credit scenes for MCU movies might be different from earlier ones, stating that there might be ones which are connected and then those, which won’t add to the continuity of MCU storylines.
